Asher Dumisani Tembo from Sparrows Christian Academy was the youngest speller in the 2024 National Spelling Bee Season. He was only 7 years old and in Standard 4 but managed to spell his way to the National Finals.
WHY SHOULD YOUR CHILD JOIN NATIONAL SPELLING BEE?
1. Vocabulary Development: As kids pick up new words and understand their definitions, spelling bees assist them in growing their vocabulary.
2. Better Spelling: Children’s spelling skills improve with regular spelling bee practice, which can help them write and read more proficiently.
All children above 7/8 and below 16 years old and learning in Malawi can register for the competition.
